We will be working with schools and community groups along the HS2 phase 1 route to uncover and record stories at risk of being lost, to share and promote them locally and nationally while building skills across Buckinghamshire. This community will investigate how through the support of the Aylesbury community the 1984 Paralympic Games was able to go ahead. Read more
This community will be invited to consider the impact of creative design on the Paralympic Games. From the symbolism seen in the Paralympic torches to the costume designs seen in the opening ceremonies and the athlete kit. Read more
This community will be working with a disabled artist and a Paralympian looking at the language surrounding disability and inclusion through the various posters, mascots and memorabilia that are used to publicise the Paralympic Games. Read more

A focus for this group of partners will be the athlete’s diet and the impact this has had on the growing professionalism of para-sport over the years. Comparing menus from the very early days with a modern day athlete’s approach to nutrition. Read more
