'The Contribution of the Refugees leaflet', Friday 8th May 2020 To celebrate VE Day, Vicky talks about 'The Contribution of the Refugees' leaflet which recognised Professor Sir Ludwig Guttmann's work at the National Spinal Injuries Centre, where he treated servicemen who had sustained spinal cord injuries in World War II. He was a refugee, a German Jew who arrived in the UK in 1939.
