Meet Paralympic champion Robin Surgeoner MBE

Virtual event for schools, families and learners supported at home.

Students and children heard from nine-time Paralympic Champion swimmer Robin Surgeoner MBE to imagine what it takes to be an elite athlete in the pool. Robin competed at three Paralympic Games from 1984 to 1992. He pursued the Paralympic values of Determination, Inspiration, Courage and Equality in his career as an athlete and afterwards as a successful swim coach, songwriter and poet, platforms he now uses to speak out for the human rights of all disabled people. BSL interpreter Marie Biswell joined this event.

You can learn more about Robin on his Paralympic athlete page here.
