Latest News Partnership with Lexicon Decoder 28th August 2024 The National Paralympic Heritage Trust (NPHT) are delighted to announce a new partnership with LEXI - the innovative graphics system that explains the Paralympic classification system for competing athletes, using an intuitively coloured set of icons. With the Paralympics underway it's the perfect time for us to use the LEXI system, providing added value to our content and a clear and visual way of understanding Paralympic sport classification to our online visitors. We intend to add LEXI graphics and icons to our educational resources too. LEXI uses a simple four-colour system to indicate the amount of movement available to the athlete. Green indicates full movement, while Red indicates little to no available movement. Yellow is for nearly-full and orange a moderate amount. When combined with the short piece of text (or voice), LEXI quickly illustrates what the class is by showing who is in it and explaining why they are grouped together. Giles Long, MBE PLY, Paralympic gold medallist and inventor of LEXI said: At LEXI we are incredibly proud to be working with NPHT to increase understanding and engagement in Paralympic sport.
