NPHT Volunteer July 2020 - April 2021

We were sad to learn about the passing of Shaun Finegan in April 2021. Shaun’s funeral took place on Friday 7th May 2021, 12:30 at Aylesbury Vale Crematorium.

In July 2020 Shaun joined our team of volunteers at the National Paralympic Heritage Trust as an Events and Outreach Volunteer. In this role Shaun facilitated many virtual events including Meet the Paralympian sessions, group visits and school visits. 

During his time with us, Shaun showed great enthusiasm, commitment and dedication in spreading the word about the Trust and Paralympic Heritage.  Some of his work can be seen on our YouTube channel here 

Having joined the team during the COVID-19 pandemic, sadly Shaun had not been able to deliver in person activity which he was very much looking forward to.

Shaun was such a valued member of our volunteer community often going over and above to deliver some very engaging events and will be missed dearly.

With many thanks to Shaun’s family who have organised for donations to be made to the work of the Trust in Shaun’s memory. This very generous support will go a long way to help with our work and in sharing Paralympic Heritage.
