Kristina Veasey is a visual artist, fascinated by detail and drawn to the things most people pass by. She likes to find positives in negative situations and beauty in the mundane; she is drawn to the everyday and routine.  Her recent installation, My Dirty Secret, focuses on peoples' relationships with household mess and dirt, and is currently touring the UK. Kristina enjoys finding the commonalities and differences in everyday experiences, and much of her practice is socially engaged. Her current commission from Unlimited in partnership with the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trust explores the interweaving of heritage and landscape through the social fabric of those living in the Forest of Dean. As a disabled artist, identity politics is often a strong component in her work with some of her work being influenced by the barriers she faces. Diversity, intersectionality and accessibility are constant considerations in both the planning and delivery of all her projects. Kristina also likes to add humour, quirkiness and a sense of fun to her work.

Kristina is a Paralympian who represented ParalympicsGB in wheelchair basketball at both the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Games.
