Making a Splash with Sensory Storytime The NPHT invites children and families to join us at our Heritage Centre, at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, on Thursday 10th April. From 11am until noon, we'll be diving into the children's picture book, Splash! written by Paralympic gold medallist Claire Cashmore. Splash! is a fun and inspiring story based on her real-life experience of living with a limb difference and overcoming a fear of the water. And to make it even more exciting, we’ll be using objects and sensory stimuli to bring the story to life as it’s being read. A Day of Fun at Stoke Mandeville Why not make a day of it and follow up storytime by exploring our Heritage Centre further, learning all about the Paralympic Movement. Our volunteers and Learning Manager Fiona will be on hand to show you around. Grab a worksheet, and check out some of the Paralympic stories on our interactive screen displays. You can find out more about our Heritage Centre here. If you're left wanting more, then you could even head over to our displays at the National Spinal Injuries Centre. Take the theme of Splash! to the next level, pack your swimming gear and take a dip in the Stoke Mandeville Stadium pool! They offer a quieter pool experience between 9.15 and 10am on Thursdays, and a Family Fun swim from 1.15pm. For more information and accessibility, click here. We can't wait to see you there!
