DICE Club Business Breakfast

On Thursday 16th January 2025, the NPHT hosted our first DICE Club Business Breakfast of the year, offering attendees a unique opportunity to network and to hear from medal-winning Para Dressage athlete, Mari Durward-Akhurst.

In 2012, Mari sat in the stands at the Paralympic Games and told herself that she would one day be a Paralympian too. What began as a form of therapy evolved into a distinguished career on the global stage.

With 20 years in the saddle, Mari shared the challenges that elite competition brings. She spoke about overcoming obstacles, training, relationship building and finding that crucial competitive edge.

An athlete, a mentor and a self-described fighter living with a changing condition - this really was a breakfast of champions.

A motivational Thursday morning and well worth the early start!
