Meet Paralympic high jumper Jonathan Broom-Edwards

We are delighted to welcome gold winning Paralympic high jumper Jonathan Broom-Edwards to our online talk on Friday 8th December at 11am. This event is for schools and home educated children.

Finding something that you are good at and sticking with it even when it becomes difficult is something athlete Jonathan Broom-Edwards MBE knows all about.  When injury meant he might have to give up on his dream to continue to compete at the highest level, Jonathan dug deep within himself to find the strength to persevere and overcome the barriers that stood in his way.  His resilience paid off and in 2021, Jonathan was crowned Paralympic T64 High Jump Champion at the Tokyo Paralympic Games. Join Jonathan as he inspires your students to learn how believing in themselves will help them to be the best they can be, in whatever they choose to do. This talk will be full of lessons for everyone, no matter their journey or their hopes for the future.

We will be joined by BSL interpreter Sarah Hobbs for this event.

This event will be hosted virtually via Zoom, the joining details will be emailed to you nearer to the event.

Please plan to join at least 5 minutes before the start of the session as the session will begin promptly at 11am.

Please note that you must join the event with the name you used to book with. You will not be admitted to the meeting if you use a different name.
