Volunteers have been a proud part of the history of the Paralympic Games as far back as the 1940s.  Help us tell the story of the evolution of the Paralympic Games at our new Heritage Centre at Stoke Mandeville Games.

From as little as 2 hours a week, you can help bring the story to life.

As a Heritage Centre Assistant you will be the first person people will see when they visit us.  You will be on hand to

  • offer them a warm welcome, a friendly face and help them to explore.
  • Help visitors engage with the displays, provide increased accessibility with Audio description tours and distributing additional resources if needed.
  • help with school and group visits.
  • monitor environmental readings for the exhibits
  • gather feedback day to day

We would also like your help to develop this role further as we find our feet so it really is an exciting opportunity to support our work.

Full training and induction will be provided.  If you are interested, please contact Katy-Jayne Lintott by email
