Whose story is missing from the bookshelves?

Sharing Nick Springer on the Move and other sports stories from the Paralympic Games to promote equity

As part of Buckinghamshire Open Weekend, author and Professor of Education, Jennifer Stratton, held a storytelling workshop to examine whose stories are missing from our bookshelves and what we can do to fill that gap. She shared her approach to writing non-fiction for children and how adaptive sports stories can redefine ability.

This was a family friendly event for children aged 7-12 years with a curious mind and an important story to tell.

You can read more about author Jennifer Stratton on her website here and buy her book here. All of the proceeds from her book go to support Mouth and Foot Painting Artists and the Wheelchair Sports Federation in the U.S.

This was a free event and we are a registered charity so if you would like to support our work then please donate below.
