The Paralympic Games move from the playing fields to the bookshelves with Nick Springer on the Move

As part of Buckinghamshire Open Weekend, author and Professor of Education, Jennifer Stratton, held a storytelling and discussion time about the power of the Paralympic Games in changing lives and perceptions through the reading of her picture book biography, Nick Springer on the Move

This was a family friendly event for children aged 7-12 years who believe there is a champion in all of us.

Jennifer's book is a hard hitting sports story about American wheelchair rugby champion and quad amputee, Nick Springer. She will also engage participants in a conversation about ability, disability, and sport. Illustrated by Mouth and Foot Painting Artist, Christopher Kuster, who created every image using his mouth due to paralysis.

You can read more about author Jennifer Stratton on her website here and buy her book here. All of the proceeds from her book go to support Mouth and Foot Painting Artists and the Wheelchair Sports Federation in the U.S.
