At the end of July 2018 we celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Paralympic Movement which began as the Stoke Mandeville Games on the 29th July 1948. The celebration included a week of activities hosted by More Leisure and WheelPower at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

Visitors were invited to look at the designs for the Heritage Centre due to be opened in March 2019. There was also a display of outfits from previous Paralympic games and London 2012, medals and a great handling collection showcasing the wonderful heritage of Stoke Mandeville as the birthplace of the Paralympics.

Below are some of the great photos from the weeks activities.
